kids camouflage clothes

This year my son turned thirteen, and I feel that it is time to begin initiating him in the rites of manhood. For his birthday, I bought him a Swiss Army knife, which has been a tradition in our family for generations. Next weekend I am going to take him on his first hunting trip and teach him how to fend for himself.

As this will be his first time braving the wild, there are some necessities that I had to procure. It used to be difficult to find quality kids camouflage clothes, but with the internet it was a cinch. I was even able to find a small rifle that was the perfect size for him.

We are all familiar with the classic camouflage design that is utilized by hunters and the military, but it hasn’t always been that way. There are countless stories and pictures from old battles depicting soldiers in brilliantly colored and elaborately adorned uniforms. These ensembles were adequate in old-style battle, before the advent of long range weapons, but they are impractical today.

Camouflage first started being worn in the 19th century, when it became necessary to keep the enemy aloof, even at a considerable distant. Today camo has made its way into the mainstream, and is worn as a fashion statement by a wide range of people. Look anywhere and you’ll find an assortment of options, including ladies camo t-shirts, vests, wallets and other accessories.
